最近幾天，一場(chǎng)突然而至的寒流席卷了中國(guó)北方地區(qū)，很明顯預(yù)示著冬天已經(jīng)提前到來(lái)了。氣象專(zhuān)家還預(yù)測(cè)今年中國(guó)整體上將會(huì)經(jīng)歷一個(gè)更加嚴(yán)寒的冬天。

According to Ding Yihui, an academician with the Chinese Academy of Engineering and a special adviser to China Meteorological Administration, La Nina plays an important role in the early arrival of winter. Statistics from the National Climate Center show that the equatorial Eastern Central Pacific Ocean has been under the influence of La Nina since August. In China, winter temperatures are usually below average in years that are influenced by La Ni?a.

據(jù)中國(guó)工程院院士、中國(guó)氣象局特別顧問(wèn)丁益輝（音）表示說(shuō)，今年冬天提前到來(lái)和厄爾尼諾現(xiàn)象脫不了干系。據(jù)國(guó)家氣象中心的統(tǒng)計(jì)數(shù)據(jù)顯示，自從今年8月份以來(lái)，赤道動(dòng)中部太平洋地區(qū)就一直受到厄爾尼諾現(xiàn)象的影響。在中國(guó)，受厄爾尼諾現(xiàn)象影響年份冬季的氣溫一般都低于平均水平。

"Temperatures will likely be lower than average in northern China, especially in December. In southern China, the colder periods will be in January and February," explained Ding.

丁益輝表示說(shuō)：“今年冬天中國(guó)北方的氣溫很可能會(huì)低于平均水平，尤其是在12月份的時(shí)候。而在南方地區(qū)，一月和二月則會(huì)更加冷一些?！?/span>

As a result of La Nina and chillier winter temperatures, Ding predicts that electricity and transport will be impacted because more energy will be consumed, and rain and ice will influence road conditions. The natural ecosystem, which is used to a warmer climate, will also be affected to some extent.

Zheng Fei, a researcher with the Institute of Atmospheric Physics under the Chinese Academy of Sciences, said that years under the influence of La Nina often see more frequent northern winds, which are conducive to the dispersal of air pollutants. Therefore, the silver lining of a colder winter could be reduced smog over the next few months.
